Personally I'm happy to be on here anywhere. I haven't toured east of Saskatoon, and I was only there once. It's a great big country. I plan on spending as much time as I can playing out east now so I can live up to your kind votes. I had so much fun at the MBAs. I spent much of my childhood in Ontario and Quebec and I was born In Halifax. So I'm on a mission to work my way back upstream to where I started this life.

Kathleen Edwards has been creating buzz since before the release of her debut album Failer a decade ago. Having just released her fourth, Voyageur this week, she played an intimate show for contest winners-only in CBC Toronto's Studio 211 this past Saturday.
The album has been driving the buzz train months in advance of its release as Edwards enlisted the help of four-time Grammy nominee and critical darling Justin Vernon of Bon Iver as its co-producer.
For this unique show she was joined by Bahamas, Hannah Georgas, and Sarah Harmer as her special guests for some surprise cover tunes and special additions to her new songs.

As a guitar and piano duo, Denis Viel and Claire "Lady Blues" Thériault show deep roots into the blues. Denis' unique eclectic fingerstyle blends seamlessly with Claire's supple Chicago touch to form an inspiring sound which is a staple in Québec city’s music scene. This year, Thériault-Viel will participate to FEDEX International Showcase; last year, Racine did.
It is a very interesting event.

I offer my condolences to Jackie's family and friends.
He was a great man, and I feel honored to have had the chance to know him and even jam with him on one or two occasions back in the 70's.
He was a very sweet man, and a living encyclopedia of Jazz and Blues, I learned from him about stage composure, and tips on playing rhythm guitar.
Rest in peace Jackie.
