GOOD LUCK! Local Artists on Polaris Long List

3 amazing local artists have taken the first step towards winning the prestigious Polaris Music Prize .  The Long List was recently unveiled and a trio of albums from area musicians are on it. Hamilton rockers Arkells and B.A. Johnston are in the running along with Welland's Daniel Romano.

The Short List of 10 albums will be unveiled on July 13. The grand prize winner wil be revealed at the Polaris Prize gala on Sept. 18!

The top spot will win $50,000 and the rest of the Short List will receive $3,000.
