It may be called Americana but there are many talented Canadians creating unique, beautiful music in the genre. The Americana Music Association recently revealed their Top 100 albums list for 2015 (based on airplay) and four Canuck artists earned spots on it.
Two of them are also local. Hamilton folk-rock duo Whitehorse took 59th place with Welland artist Daniel Romano following at number 72. Other Canadians include Winnipeg band The Bros. Landreth (51) and Whitney Rose (94) from Toronto.
