CONGRATS! Local Artists Bring Home Junos at 2017 Gala!

Three talented Hamilton artists will be bringing home some much-deserved Juno hardware after the untelevised gala on April 1, 2017.  Local jazz singer Diana Panton adds one more to  her collection.  She won the Children's Album of the Year category for her recording: I Believe in Little Things. Hammertown rockers The Dirty Nil earned the Breakthrough Group of the Year award as well. Ex-Junkhouse and current Blue Rodeo member Colin Cripps produced and did guitar work on the Blues Album of Year winner Ride the One, from Toronto's Paul Reddick.

The big winner of the night was Gord Downie, who couldn't attend but won three awards: Adult Alternative Album of the Year, Recording Package of the Year and Rock Album of the Year (the latter with his band, The Tragically Hip).
