GOOD LUCK! Local Canadian Folk Music Awards Nominees + Complete Nominations


In a few months (April 3rd & 4th to be exact) the Canadian Folk world will be showcasing their talent at the 2020 Canadian Folk Music Awards ceremony. A number of local artists recently received nomination and hopefully, they'll be bring home some hardware.

Hamilton-born singer/songwriter Ben Caplan is in the running in three categories: English Songwriter of the Year, World Solo Artist of the Year and Producer of the Year

From the news release: The 15th Edition of the Canadian Folk Music Awards takes place over the weekend of April 3-4, 2020 at The PEI Convention Centre, in beautiful downtown, Charlottetown, PEI at 4 Queen St. Awards will be presented throughout both evenings, April 3 and 4th, at the Awards Weekend Concerts. These concerts combine the most loved events of the Canadian Folk Music Awards’ – the vibrant energy of the live music showcases and the awards gala. The Awards Weekend Concerts will capture the true heart of the folk community, while celebrating the 2020 nominees and the category recipients.  Tickets and wristbands will go on sale in early 2020, please visit our website, www.folkawards.ca, and join our mailing list to be the first to know about our events and announcements.
