The Hammer celebrated their creative arts culture (including the local music scene) at The 2016 City of Hamilton Arts Awards, held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at The Scottish Rite Club. Area jazz songstress Diana Panton took home the Music, Established prize while Troy Witherow of the electronic band Illitry won the Music, Emerging award.
