Hamilton's Steven Trevor Jones Debuts With Artful and Poetic CD
Hamilton's Steven Trevor Jones (formerly of the Rest) is breaking out on his own with his debut solo work, Home for My Sleepy Eyes. What he's concocted is a beautiful, folky album with a lot of indie rock sensibilities.
While unmistakably a pared down endeavor, the atmosphere of this recording is artful, sometimes spacey and always emotional. Steven's voice has a wonderful character to it and his lyrics are meaningful and poetic. Also, his fellow Rest bandmates Adam Bentley and Jordan Mitchell add their sonic flavouring to Steven's wonderfully crafted songs.
