Debut from Hamilton trio, the Harmones is a Joy From Start to Finish!

Live from Pine Street!, the debut from Hamilton trio, the Harmones is brimming with heavenly harmonies and a wonderful, laid-back sound.  It's a joy from start to finish.

Featuring three talented local singers (Carol Greene, Christine Roarke, Audrey Hensen) the album is a collection of enjoyable, organic sounding versions of classics. Big Yellow Taxi, Da Do Run Run, Bye Bye Love and my others are covered wonderfully by the remarkable trio.

A number of brilliant local musicians add to the delight. Wayne Krawchuk (acoustic guitar), Ed Roth (Accordion) and Daniel Krawchuk of Toadhouse (bass) all add their skills to the mix.

Remembering Chris Shaver

We recently found out about the passing of Hamilton music supporter, Chris Shaver.  He passed away on December 30, 2015. Our condolences to his family and friends. Click here for his obituary.

A word from Lou, our blogger: "I first knew Chris as a co-worker.  We used to have great conversations when we worked nights together.  It was wonderful reconnecting with him through our mutual love of the local music scene.  I'll miss you buddy!

Hamilton's Toadhouse Fill their Debut Album, Bufo with Funky, Rockin' Jams

Hamilton Jamband Toadhouse dropped their debut incredible full-length album Bufo a little while back and boy, does it ever reflect their explosive live shows!  They've filled it with funk, classic rock and a whack of jazzy improvisation. 

The tunes never get boring as they twist and turn to different changes - you'll never know when a wonderful musical surprise will hit you.  These boys really know how to keep the groove going while making some excellent left turns.  If you're looking for progressive music with a sense of fun and adventure, this is the album for you!
