GOOD LUCK! Country Music Association of Ontario Award Nominees (including local artists)


Recently, the nominees for the 2021 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards were announced and quite a number of local artists were given the nod. We're hoping a lot of them will win during the ceremony being held at the Ancaster Fairgrounds on May 30, 2021.

The Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAOntario) is excited to announce the nominees for the 9th Annual CMAOntario Awards, taking place Sunday, May 30, 2021 as a drive-in style event at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Hamilton, Ontario. Leading the nominations are 15 time CMAOntario Award winner Meghan Patrick, nine time CMAOntario Award winner Tim Hicks, and viral sensation Robyn Ottolini, with five nominations each.

Hosted by Jason McCoy and Beverley Mahood, the CMAOntario Award Show will close out the CMAOntario Festival & Awards Weekend May 28 – 30, 2021. After presenting the first ever, live, drive-in country music awards show in October 2020, CMAOntario is happy to do it all again this year in Hamilton. The CMAOntario Awards, presented by Slaight Music, will acknowledge the talent and achievements of Ontario’s country music industry across 18 categories.

GOOD LUCK! Local Country Music Association of Ontario Award Nominees + Full Nominee List


The 8th Annual Country Music Association of Ontario Awards is gonna be jam-packed with a lot of local flavour. When the ceremony hits on October 4, 2020 at the Centennial Hall in London, a ton of area artists will be vying for the top prizes.

Cambridge duo, the Reklaws top the nomination list with an impressive 6 nods (tied with Meghan Patrick).

Country superstars Tebey (Burlington) and Tim Hicks (St. Catharines) are up for 4 each.

CONGRATS! Local 2019 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards Winners



Ottawa was abuzz with musical goodness on June 16, 2019. The Country Music Association of Ontario Awards were held at our nation's capital. A number of local artists took home some hardware.

St. Catharines superstar Tim Hicks won two awards (Male Artists of the Year and the Nelson Compass Award).

GOOD LUCK! Local Country Music Association of Ontario Award Nominees


Local Country stars are in the spotlight thanks to the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards Nominations that were recently unveiled. The ceremony itself will be held in Ottawa on June 16, 2019. Hopefully a number of our area talent will bring home the hardware.

Hamilton is represented by popular group the Redhill Valleys. They were nominated for Group or Duo of the Year as well as Roots Group or Duo of the Year. 

Also from the Hammer, Brad James is up for the Rising Star award.

Burlington's Tebey is up for 5 awards (Single of the Year, Album of the Year, 2 songwriting nods, Male Artist of the Year and Fan's Choice).

Another Burlingtonian, Tianna Woods was nominated for Female Artist of the Year and her record producer is in the running for an award as well.

St. Catharines superstar Tim Hicks will also get a chance to his already impressive list of trophies. He was nominated for 6 awards (Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fan's Choice and Music Video of the Year).

Another nominee from the Niagara region, Ryan Langdon is also up for the Rising Star category and his record producer was nominated for an award too.

Welland's CKYY Country 89FM was nominated for Radio Station of the Year (Small Market) as well.

Waterloo's The Western Swing Authority are also up for Roots Group or Duo of the Year and their producer/band-member, Jason Barry is up for Record Producer of the Year.

Cambridge group, The Reklaws earned 5 nods (Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriters of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year and Fan's Choice)

      GOOD LUCK! Local Country Music Association of Ontario Award Nominees


      Many of our incredible area musicians will be heading down to London for the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards on June 3, 2018. There were quite a few local nominees and hopefully they'll pick up some hardware.

      Hamilton boasts a few nominees: Blue Rodeo (which has Hamilton's Colin Cripps in its current lineup) and radio station KX 94.7 FM are up for awards.
