Become an Escarpment Blues Society Member

The goal of the The Escarpment Blues Society is to strengthen awareness and appreciation of Blues And Roots Music while at the same time put the emphasis on growth. 

The Escarpment Blues Society will:

  • Promote Blues & Roots Music through multiple avenues including live performances, artist support, education with blues in the schools’ programs and highlighting recordings.  
  • Support local, national and international blues and roots artists for the advancement of their craft in the Niagara Escarpment area. This applies to established Blues And Roots artists as well as new artists.  
  • Support local venues that feature Blues And Roots music 
  • Engage in activities that will garner funds for operational needs
  • Raise community awareness for Blues and Roots Music, through through social media, mainstream media, digital and print media 
  • Will become an affiliate of the Blues Foundation and help raise funds for artists to participate in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis

We are encouraging everyone to please become a member of this great organization. Benefits of Membership Include:   ** First chance to buy tickets to all of our EBS sponsored events/shows  **Discounts to various blues events throughout the year and the opportunity to meet other blues fans & musicians in the region, in addition to helping us promote blues n’ roots music and venues in the region. 

$25 for a one-year membership and $40 for a two-year membership. .

Nominees for the Inaugural (2025) Canadian Blues Music Awards

With the Maple Blues Awards is no longer around, the Canadian Blues Music Awards has risen to take it's place. The inaugural list of nominees was recently announced. The ceremony takes place March 30, 2026 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY.

Wicked Grin & Larry Kurtz Will be Rockin' Hamilton, Courtesy of the Escarpment Blues Society


The Escarpment Blues Society will be presenting another incredible Blues show in Hamilton. Ottawa Blues Legends Murray Kinsley & Wicked Grin will be joining forces with harmonica master, Larry Kurtz in what's sure to be an unforgettable matinee. It takes place Sunday June 9, 2024 at 2pm at Stonewalls. EBS members get a discount on the cover. Click here to become a member.

2024 City of Hamilton Arts Awards Short List (including Linda, our Marketing Maven)

The Hamilton Blues Lovers are beaming with pride as Linda, our very own marketing maven, has been placed on the 2024 City of Hamilton Arts Arts Awards Short List! She's up for an Arts Champion Award for her dedicated, tireless support of the local music scene.

The winners will receive the awards at a ceremony in June 2024 (details TBA)

Introducing The Escarpment Blues Society!

We are pleased to report there's a new Blues society in town: The Escarpment Blues Society recently started up with our Founder/Blogger Lou and Linda, our marketing maven, as board members. We're very proud of this new initiative.

Lou and Linda are joined by an esteemed Board of Directors: Broadcaster Ken Wallis (President), Juno award-winning musician Steve Strongman (VP), Gail Broderick (Treasurer), publicist Sarah French, promoter Andrea Cassis and Bob Hunt of the Blues Studio.
