Trebleclef experienced the marvellous Kim Deschamps for the first time when the musician returned to his hometown to play a show at Clifford Brewing in Hamilton. It was a great show!

Local Multi-Instrumentalist Dave Pearson Passes

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of local multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Dave Pearson. He was a member of the duo Elysian Dream (along with TC Petit). He was also a popular solo act as well as a regular of the Hamilton and Brantford Folk Clubs. We will pass along details as we know them.

Hamilton's Brian Wice Passes

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hamilton musician Brian Wice. He passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, just months after his beloved wife and musical partner, Angela McKay. He was also a regular at the Hamilton Folk Club.

His obituary:

WICE, Brian Carl - Peacefully (on his own terms) at his home, surrounded by love on April 16, 2018 in his 74th year.

Beloved husband of the late Angela McKay. Loving father of Brent (Roxana), David (Coby) and Benjamin. Cherished Grandpa of Julia, Taylor, Lacey and Lindsay.

Dear brother of Julia, the late Barbara (Hank), Alan (Slavica) and Grant (Angèle). Brian will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and his enormous circle of friends.

Special thanks to all of Brian’s caregivers for their kindness and support.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Brian’s life will take place at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club, 555 Bay Street North, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 6:30pm.

Hamilton's Angela McKay Passes

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hamilton singer Angela McKay on January 23, 2018. She was a Hamilton Folk Club regular. Our condolences to her family, friends and fans.

Her obituary is below:

In Memory of Angela Margaret McKay

November 28, 1968 - January 23, 2018

Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on January 23, 2018 at the age of 49. Beloved wife and partner of Brian Wice for 20 years. Loving daughter of Norma Lovegrove and niece of William Sears. Cherished sister of Brenda (Fred), Nancy (Tom), Ronalea, Lorraine, Andrew (Toni), Mary (Nino), Penny (King) and Angus. Angela is loved and will be missed by Brent (Roxana), David (Coby) and Benjamin, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday February 8, 2018 from 6-9 pm and on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 9am until the time of Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Donations in Angela's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
