A number of locals brought home Country Music Association of Ontario Awards on May 29, 2016 at the kickin' ceremony hosted by Edward Village Hotel in Markham.
Hamilton country station KX 94.7 FM took home Radio Station of the Year (Major Market) for the second year in a row! Burlington's Tebey won for Single of the Year, thanks to his incredible tune, When the Buzz Wears Off. Record Producer of the Year, Jason Barry was another repeat winner. He produces the Waterloo group The Western Swing Authority.
The big winners of the night were Jason Blaine and Cold Creek County, who won 3 awards each.
