Debut Album by Hamilton's Eli Wells is Off the Beaten Path

Feel like something a little off the beaten path? Try The Big Heirloom, the remarkable debut album from Hamilton singer/songwriter, Eli Wells. While the music's mainly in the Americana/folk vein, the sound's masterfully bent and twisted into interesting shapes. Eli's poetic and quirky lyrics raise this beyond your usual storyteller with a guitar template.

Guests: Nolan Gibson (vocals, pedal steel), Amber Banks (vocals)

Available: No physical CDs, Bandcamp, Spotify

You can stream the album below.

Debut Album from Niagara's Evan Rotella an Old School Blend of Country, Folk & Rock

Talented Niagara musician Evan Rotella may be young but his songwriting's old school in the best way possible. His incredible debut album Happy to be Here is a marvelous blend of country, folk and classic rock. Evan sings us tales of life experiences (travelling, nostalgia, regrets and more) beyond his years. On top of that, his guitar work is exquisite here and the merry band of musicians backing him up raise the bar as well,
