Hamilton Blues Lovers Turns 12!
Today (November 29, 2020), the Hamilton Blues Lovers turn 12 years old! A WHOLE DOZEN!
As you all know it has been a rough year with COVID-19 causing a stop to in-person live music for a long time. A few of our communities still cannot hold music events. Here is a link on how to help musicians during this difficult time.
This was also the year we decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of local albums. We've only done two so far but will be doing more by year's end.

Hamilton Blues Lovers Turns 9 Today!
A word from Lou, our blogger:
In another year, HBL will be hitting double digits! It all started with me posting a Kijiji ad announcing my new organization: the Hamilton Blues Lovers. That ad has led me to a blog, a media presence (Blog, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, weekly e-mail newsletter and more) and a wonderful life with an amazing wife!
This has been a great year with my wife and I winning one of the first George R. Robinson awards!
We have big plans for next year's 10th anniversary. STAY TUNED!

It's been eight years since I first posted an ad online about a new organisation called the Hamilton Blues Lovers. Originally only a social group, it later evolved into a web and social media presence (Blog, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, weekly e-mail newsletter and more).
This year has been wonderful. There was the usual incredible local music. Not only did we add a new Instagram page but our mascot Trebleclef got his own Facebook page too!
I'm looking forward to many more years of covering our amazing local music scene!
Before I go, I'd like to say a special thank you to my wife Linda for all of her support. I LOVE YOU SWEETIE!

Hamilton Blues Lovers Turns 7 Years Old!
A message from Lou, our blogger:
It was 7 years ago today (November 29) that I created a Kijiji ad announcing to the world that there was a new organization called the Hamilton Blues Lovers. What started as a small social group evolved into a blog, Twitter feed, Facebook presence, YouTube page, a weekly e-mail newsletter and more.
One of the major highlights of the year was winning a the Hamilton Music Award for best website. I am truly honoured! Thank you to all who help support our website.
Another major change this year was the addition of Trebleclef, our cute little monkey mascot. He's been travelling the area meeting amazing musicians and attending spectacular venues! I hope you've check out his adventures.
I plan to continue covering the wonderful musical scene that we are lucky enough to experience. Thank you to all the friends I have met in my musical travels. A special thank you to my beautiful wife Linda for her incredible marketing assistance was well as her love and support. I LOVE YOU SWEETIE!!!!

HAMILTON BLUES LOVERS TURNS 5 YEARS OLD
A few words from Lou, our esteemed Blogger:
On November 29, 2008 I put an ad online to start a new organization called the Hamilton Blues Lovers. For five years I've been on a wonderful musical journey that has changed my life forever.
At first, I was just an occasional local music fan venturing out once in a blue moon. I spent three years dealing with health issues (both my own and my family's). This wake up call made me realize I should be enjoying every minute of life!
My interest in local music turned into a passion but there was still a stumbling block. Very few people I knew realized just how much amazing talent was in their own community. I would end up going to shows alone and being a shy person by nature, I didn't interact much with other fans.
The Hamilton Blues Lovers was created as a way to break me out of my shell and find like-minded music devotees. I placed the ad online and the HBL was born.
This has been a life-changing personal journey for me. It is through it that I learned how to enjoy life more. I was also extremely lucky to meet Linda, the love of my life, as part of the social group. She makes music that much sweeter!
I'd like to thank all the new friends I've made throughout these past five years. To all the musicians: keep up all the good work. I look forward to many more years of supporting the local scene!
To help celebrate five years of incredible local music, I'd like to invite everyone to Rolly Rocket's on 470 King St W, to join in the fun with a musical Open Stage on December 1, 2013 at 7pm. Both musicians and fans are encouraged to pop in and enjoy!
