CONGRATS! Area Artists Shine in Blind Lemon Radio's Top 20 List


For the Canadian Blues community, Blind Lemon Blues Radio's Annual Top 20 Album List is a highlight of the year.  In January 2015, the results of public online voting were tallied and the favourites from 2014 were unveiled.

As always, many talented Blues musicians from our area were honoured.  Hamiltonians Andre Bisson (5), Jack de Keyzer (9) and Steve Strongman (15) all make appearances on the list.  Oshweken's Joel Johnson and Downchild (with members from the Niagara and Brant regions) earned the 17th and 18th spots respectively.

De Keyzer and Daddy Long Legs on Blind Lemon Blues Best of 2013 List

Local musicians Daddy Long Legs and Jack De Keyzer made their way onto Blind Lemon Blues's top 20 Blues songs of 2013 list (numbers 12 and 16 respectively).  Jack also makes another appearance as part of James Boraski's album (#15).  The only other performer to be listed twice is Paul Deslauriers.  The popular radio show (on 93.5 CHMR in St. John's Newfoundland) has its listeners vote for their favourites every year.   CONGRATULATIONS!

Rita Chiarelli, Alfie Smith and others on Blind Lemon's Top 20


Congratulations to Hamiltonians Alfie Smith and Rita Chiarelli for making the top 20 of the Blind Lemon Blues list of the best Canadian Blues albums of 2011. They were numbers 13 and 9 respectively.
