CONGRATS! Waterloo's Shane Guse Wins 2017 Canadian Country Music Association Award


Congrats to Waterloo's Shane Guse (Western Swing Authority) for bringing home the Fiddle Player of the Year award at the Canadian Country Music Award Association Awards on September 10, 2017 at the SaskTel Centre. He won one last year too!

    CONGRATS! Tim Hicks and Jason Barry Win 2017 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards



    Two local boys took home Country Music Association of Ontario Awards this year!  On June 11, 2047 at Centennial Hall (London), St. Catharines superstar Tim Hicks  and the talented Jason Barry from Waterloo won Male Artist of the Year and Record Producer of the Year awards respectively. Jason produced the work of Burlington's Tianna Woods and Waterloo's The Western Swing Authority, among others.

    The big winner of the might was Bowmanville's Meghan Patrick, who 4 awards.

    GOOD LUCK! Local Country Music Association of Ontario Award Nominees


    There are many repeat local nominees at 2017's Country Music Association of Ontario Awards.  Artists from across the province will be on hand June 11th at Centennial Hall in London and hopefully, many of our area artists will be bringing home some hardware.

    Hamilton country station KX 94.7 FM is once again up for Radio Station (Major Market) of the Year.

    Just like last year, Burlington musicians are nominated in a few categories. Tebey (Male Artist of the Year and Fan's Choice) and Tianna Woods (Female Artist of Year). Tianna's Producer Jason Barry (from Waterloo) was nominated as Record Producer of the Year for his work with her and other bands as well.

    Down St. Catherines way, Tim Hicks  was given the nod in four categories (Album of the Year, Male Artistm of the Year, Fan's Choice and Songwriter of the Year) and Marshall Dane  is also up for Male Artist of the Year)

    Other local nominees include The Western Swing Authority from Waterloo (Roots Artist or Group and Woodstock's Country 104 FM (Radio Station - Major Market).

    CONGRATS! Local Country Music Association of Ontario Award Winners!


    A number of locals brought home Country Music Association of Ontario Awards on May 29, 2016 at the kickin' ceremony hosted by  Edward Village Hotel in Markham.

    Hamilton country station KX 94.7 FM took home Radio Station of the Year (Major Market) for the second year in a row! Burlington's Tebey won for Single of the Year, thanks to his incredible tune, When the Buzz Wears Off. Record Producer of the YearJason Barry was another repeat winner.  He produces the Waterloo group The Western Swing Authority.

    GOOD LUCK! Hamilton's Whitehorse Earns a Canadian Radio Music Award Nomination!


    Hamilton folk rock duo, Whitehorse keep racking up the awards and now they're up for a 2016 Canadian Music Radio Award for their amazing song, Downtown.  On Friday, May 5th in Toronto, they'll find out if there'll be another statue to their mantle.  GOOD LUCK!
