Living Blues Award Nominees Including Local & Canadian Artists (Vote - Deadline is June 15)

Living Blues Magazine recently announced their 2025 award nominees. Former Burlington resident Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne got the nod for two awards. Canadians Sue Foley and the Blackburn Brothers are also in the running for 3 and 1 awards respectively. A number of artists signed to Waterdown's Stony Plain Records are on the list as well.

Canadian Nominees for the 2025 Grammys (including local artists)


The nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards were recently announced and quite a number of Canadian are in the running for the prestigious prize. 

In local news, Waterdown's Stony Plain Records have two albums up for the Best Traditional Blues Album categoryFabulous Thunderbirds - Struck Down (co-produced, co-written and guest starring Hamilton/Kitchener Bluesman Steve Strongman +  backing vocals by Chris Ayries (Hamilton) on 'Sideline') and Sue Foley: One Guitar WomanNothing In Rambling, a song from Fabulous Thunderbirds - Struck Down is also nominated for Best Americana Roots Performance.

The 67th GRAMMY Awards, will take be at the Crypto.com Arena (LA) on Sunday, February 2 and broadcast live on the CBS.

GOOD LUCK! Hamilton's Harrison Kennedy Nominated for 2018 Blues Music Awards

Hamilton Blues Legend Harrison Kennedy is once again up for Blues Music Awards this year (the only Canadian nominated).  He's in the running for two awards: Acoustic Album of the Year and Acoustic Artist of the Year.  Hopefully, he'll be bringing home the hardware at the May 10, 2018 ceremony in Memphis.
