2026 Living Blues Award Winners Including Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne


In early July, Living Blues Magazine announced the winners for their 2026 awards. The only Canadian winner was former Burlingtonian Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, who earned the Critics Poll Most Outstanding Musician (Keyboard) award.

With the Maple Blues Awards is no longer around, the Canadian Blues Music Awards has risen to take it's place. The inaugural list of nominees was recently announced. The ceremony takes place March 30, 2026 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY.

Downchild's Donnie Walsh & Mike Stevens Named to the Order of Canada

Two incredible area musicians were named to the Order of Canada by the Governor General on June 30, 2025.
