Throwback Thursday: Videos of Ginger St. James' Bash (June 18, 2009)

Original Post: June 19, 2009

Updated post: Thursday, March 12, 2006

In mid-2009, local musician Ginger St. James was heading to Toronto. On Thursday, June 18, 2009 she threw a goodbye party at This Ain't Hollywood with live music, a DJ, dancing, and more. Thankfully, she has since returned to the Hammer.

Lucky attendees also got a chance to pick up a limited edition (available only at that particular show) CD of Ginger's sultry, swinging songs.

Below are a few highlights from the event.

The incredible musical newcomer Rebecca MacNeil performed a few songs as songs as well.

New Album from Hamilton's Ginger St. James Packed with High Energy Boogie and Sultry Swagger!

Hamilton musical sensation Ginger St. James has always had a lot of country and a ton of rock in her soul.  Her high-energy boogie and sultry swagger tear through some amazing songs on her latest album, One for the Money (her first for Busted Flat Records)

There are a few traditional country tunes here but Ginger proves she can step things up with some hard rock, soul, early rock and more.  Things never get boring as the lady and her band showcase their vast repertoire of styles.

Backing up Ms. St. James are Justine Fischer (backup vocals,  bass), Rob Foreman (bass), SnowHeel Slim (guitar), Chris Altmann (piano), Greg Brisco (piano, organ) and Andre Tellier (drums).

Go ahead and pick up a copy of the Cd at any of her unforgettable shows or but it through the Busted Flat online shopcdbaby or iTunes.

Hamilton's HellBent Rockers Debut w Fuel-Injected, Revved Up Album

Hamilton Rockabilly boys, the HellBent Rockers, have debuted with a fuel-injected, revved up self-titled album. If this music doesn't get your heart going, you're probably dead.

They've kicked off their recording career with some amazing, old-fashioned head-bopping, swinging rock that'll shake your foundations.  It's catchy as hell (no pun intended) and groovy as all get out.

You can pick up a copy of this energetic CD at their explosive live show.  It's also available on cdbaby and
            iTunes for your listening pleasure.
